Its late stage product candidates include two product candidates from its acute care franchise (Aloxi for post operative nausea and vomiting (PONV) and Aquavan, a minimal to moderate sedative agent for patients undergoing brief diagnostic or surgical procedures, obtained in its acquisition of Guilford Pharmaceuticals Inc.), oncology (Dacogen for acute myeloid leukemia (AML)) and supportive care (Saforis Powder for Oral Suspension (Saforis)) products, as well as a biologics candidate, amolimogene bepiplasmid. On July 6, 2006, MGI entered into a license agreement with Cilag GmbH (Cilag), a Johnson & Johnson company.

Thalidomide Pharmion is approved in Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Israel, South Korea and Thailand for the treatment of multiple myeloma after the failure of standard therapies. In November 2006, it acquired Cabrellis Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
