Axcan also has a number of projects in all phases of clinical development. In February 2008, Axcan was acquired by an affiliate of TPG Capital LP.

PDL BioPharma Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of novel antibodies in oncology and immunologic diseases. It receives royalties and other revenues through licensing agreements with various biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies based on its antibody humanization technology platform.
